Homebuyer Education: $35.00 per household; Certificate Awarded Upon Completion (required by some affordable housing agencies and lenders)

Thinking about purchasing a home, but don’t know where to start?   Between realtors, banks, closing costs, and inspections, the task can seem overwhelming.   But don’t worry – OnTrack’s comprehensive homebuyer education class has the answers you’ve been looking for and resources to help!

Our HUD-certified course provides a step-by-step explanation of the homebuying process so that you can make an informed decision about the biggest investment you will probably ever make.   This twelve-hour workshop series includes information on:

• Developing a budget for successful homeownership;
• Working with realtors and finding a home;
• Understanding mortgage terminology and how to choose a mortgage;
• Understanding how credit affects your loan application;
• Understanding home inspections;
• Preparing for the loan closing;
• And more!

Our dynamic class includes guest speakers who are professionals in the real estate business, such as real estate agents, home inspectors, mortgage lenders, and real estate attorneys. The schedule for Homebuyer Education varies to provide the community with options that fit a variety of work schedules.
