HEREâS HOW CCCS CAN HELP YOU HELP THEM!

We are a non-profit, United Way agency dedicated to helping people manage money and credit better through free, confidential, financial counseling and education programs.

Employees who may benefit from a free financial consultations are those who:

     á    routinely request payroll advances

    á    apply for loans from emergency funds or 401k plans

     á   have creditors calling the work place because of past due payments

     á   would like help developing a budget and sticking to it

Individual appointments: We have face-to-face appointments available at our office in Asheville as well as eleven satellite locations throughout western NC ( Satellite Schedule). As an added convenience, appointments can be handled by telephone or Internet (utilizing this website www.debtstress.org).  

Education programs: We offer education workshops at our Asheville location (include link here) or you may sponsor a work-site program for your employees. For details (Course Descriptions).

As part of our financial counseling, we offer a Debt Repayment Program.  In the Debt Repayment Program CCCS works with clients and their unsecured creditors (such as credit cards and finance companies) to attempt to get monthly payments down to a manageable size and reduce interest and late charges when possible.  The program is totally voluntary and is offered as a way to relieve the stress of creditor calls and help many families avoid bankruptcy.
